We are currently seeking a Transportation Engineer for our company. Job requirements: • PTOE Certification (Professional Traffic Operations Engineer),Strongly desired/or able to get one once hired. • Accredited Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering • 8-10 plus years of experience within the field of transportation/traffic engineering • Professional registration (PE) within the field of engineering. Utah registration is required, or the ability to obtain within six months of employment • Experience in the performance of tasks associated with traffic engineering and transportation planning projects, serving in a professional role advising clients and staff, consulting and review of work as an expert in the field of traffic engineering. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Writing sample required. • Will conduct safety studies, plan reviews, standard specs, roadway maintenance recommendations and grant applications. • Experience with traffic forecasting, traffic safety analysis, pedestrian safety studies and field surveys. Will manage research projects involving design of study, supervision of data collection, statistical and economic analysis and evaluation of data and written report of findings. Manage traffic impact analysis for a variety of developments. Act as lead engineer in planning studies. Construction Management Experience required. • Environmental studies and document experience would be nice. • With current project needs; skills in managing preparation of transportation project concept reports construction management, roadway design, hydraulics, signals and lighting, pavement design and management, structure design and maintenance would be more important than planning and studies.
Preferred Qualifications • PTOE certification desired. • UDOT experience required. Want someone who has dealt with UDOT personnel in getting new business. Looking for a Sales Engineer personality. • Experience with microstation and other Bently products such as in-roads and Project Wise Great working environment.
