Executive Job Description | Our client is a leading south Florida public accounting firm seeking a Senior Audit Manager with executive presence to be a critical part of the region’s Assurance leadership team. In this role, individual will:
- lead / review results of an Audit on a given client engagement; serve as role model maintaining key client relationships
- be involved in indirect supervision, "big-picture" problem solving & delegating stages of an audit to assigned team
- oversee marketing, networking & business development within areas of experience, & provide colleagues with opportunities to participate in expansion of the firm's reach in the market.
-- advise clients on various economic and regulatory risks in their given industry, identifying & discussing key financial and non-financial performance measures,
- formulate & communicate the audit plan, being main contact to answer complex questions, including information on GAAP and GAAS, as well as write technical consultation memos on engagement-related GAAP/GAAS issues.
- review potentially complex financial statements, disclosures & documentation of internal control over financial reporting, & research SEC reporting rules, as dictated by engagement needs.
- apply expertise regarding business processes by making productive suggestions to improve client internal controls & accounting procedures.
Required for this position is
- Bachelors Degree in Accountancy; MBA/Masters in Accountancy a plus. CPA (or international equivalent) is MANDATORY. 7-10 years prior related work experience in a LARGE CPA firm, including significant successful supervisory background. Must have
- Advanced GAAP and GAAS knowledge
- Sound working knowledge of SEC and PCAOB rules
- Superior staff development & delegation skills, including training/instruction, engagement scheduling & budgeting
- Excellent client development/relationship-building skills
- Successful responsibility for engagement profitability, including billings / collections, maintaining engagement team focus on productivity & efficiency
- Software competency with various assurance applications and research tools; Microsoft Office Products, including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
