Executive Job Description
One of the world's leading and most respected ring rolling and forging
companies, is seeking an Aerospace Product Engineer to help serve their
continuously growing development, offering attractive job opportunities and

The successful candidates will have a strong education and background in
Mechanical and Product Engineering, ideally showing progression of
responsibility within companies certified to Aerospace standards and/or OEM
processes, will have excellent communication and teamwork attitude,
committed to demanding performance standards and ethics.

The job will be based in Velo d'Astico (north-eastern Italy), one of the
most attractive areas to work and live in Italy. Special arrangement can be
made for the right candidate. In addition, travel between group facilities,
and customers will also be part of the responsibilities.

Detailed Job Description

SUMMARY

Three plus (3+) years design and process experience in Aerospace and Power
Generation products with Seamless Rolled rings

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be
required and assigned at any time.
. Define forging dimensions and input weight, to insure meeting final
form.
. Design contour forging layout and tooling to produce contoured
rolled rings.
. Plan sequence of operations and specify procedures to meet customer
specifications.
. Analyze processes for continued improvement such as the removal of
unnecessary material or reduction of cycle time.
. Work with production regarding design concepts to best utilize
equipment and manufacturing techniques.
. Act as a technical assistant to sales and engineering to develop new
parts.
. Compile data for preparing sales estimates.
. Prepare bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and
other supporting documents that may be required.

EXPERIENCE

. The successful candidate will have experience with design in
aerospace or other closely related manufactured products.
. Will have practical "hands-on" knowledge of mechanical devices
including rolling mills and large hydraulic presses.
. Will have excellent understanding of AUTOCAD, Unigraphics, and /or
CATIA.
. Will be experienced in the production of forgings made from
stainless steel, aluminum, super alloy and titanium materials

In addition the following experiences would be recommended:
. Manufacturing experience with inspection techniques or basic
inspection equipment knowledge (CMM and manual).
. Solid modeling / FEM experience.
. Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Tool Design, Manufacturing
Planning, AS9100.
. Knowledge of six sigma and lean manufacturing principles.

. The successful candidate will posses critical thinking abilities and
problem solving skills.
. Will be open-minded about trying new processes.
. Will possess a team oriented attitude and wiliness to work with and
learn from other cultures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical
or design engineering or equivalent and three years of related experience
or;
. Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or
technical school; and five years related experience and/or training or; some
similar equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals.
. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
. Willingness to learn Italian and possibly French

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of
basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, etc.

REASONING ABILITY

. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.

Bottom Line

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or
similar.
2. 3+ years aerospace part drawing, process development, and tooling
design.
3 Experience with AUTOCAD, Unigraphics, and /or CATIA.

4. Some knowledge of six sigma and lean principles is a plus.
5. Italian language skills are a plus.
