Executive Job Description | Life Insurance Consultant
In Application Innovation Services, the Life Insurance Consultant (LIC) is a consulting services business development and delivery role in complex and integrated environments for large clients. This position requires a strong understanding of the Life & Annuity (L&A) Insurance Industry needs. This individual will be called upon to provide leadership and demonstrate deep industry subject matter expertise.
Our client is an International Tier 1 Multi-$BB Management Consulting Firm. They are seeking a Life Insurance Consultant who will team directly with Client Partners from our strategic accounts and be responsible for identifying and leading sales efforts for both new and add on opportunities. The LIC will have day-to-day responsibility for all financial and operational account management activities, including: pipeline management, revenue forecasts, bid & proposal management, and contract quality assurance and compliance. LIC candidates need to demonstrate experience in building a profitable project portfolio and client relationships. This individual must be capable of working in a time-compressed, highly dynamic and potentially ambiguous client situation to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved. The Life Insurance Consultant role requires the candidates to perform the following tasks: • Identify, pursue and close follow-on opportunities at existing clients • Be principally responsible for overseeing client deliverables on complex engagements • involving custom application solutions • Develop intellectual capital and offering development • Enhance existing methodologies • Ensure teamwork between practitioners, client resources, & third party independent software vendors (ISVs) as needed • Act as mentors for complex engagement teams • Demonstrate high proficiency level in engagement management, qualifying and managing client expectations and seeing that the engagement teams work effectively together to meet client expectations • Establish relationships with clients at all levels, but particularly with client personnel who have expert knowledge of their own and industry / market processes • Be involved in all aspects of the engagement, including renegotiation of client contracts in line with changing client requirements • Develop Consultants and have specific people and performance management responsibilities as required Since the majority of our consulting work is done at our client sites, this position 70% + travel, including various parts of the world.
• At least 10 years experience in selling and delivering custom application solution engagements to CXO level clients • At least 10 years experience in and significant L&A insurance industry expertise • At least 10 years experience in demonstrating analytical skills with proficiency in fundamental consulting and L&A Insurance operations tools, methods, and frameworks • At least 10 years experience in demonstrating excellent written and oral communication skills • At least 10 years experience in experience in presenting proposals and selling professional services engagements at client executive levels
Preferred • Master's Degree • At least 10 years experience in selling and delivering custom application solution engagements to CXO level clients • At least 10 years experience in demonstrating analytical skills with proficiency in fundamental consulting and L&A Insurance operations tools, methods, and frameworks • At least 10 years experience in experience in presenting proposals and selling professional services engagements at client executive levels
