The Services practice leverages insight and acumen in leading technology trends in the Publishing and Print Industry to provide business driven solutions for our clients. We define, design and implement large transformational technology-driven solutions for our clients. Based on our analysis of broad industry trends we generate solution ideas and develop business cases and work with teams to facilitate the evolution of the solution roadmap for the Publishing Industry.

Responsibilities:
• Business Development - Responsible for establishing a strong working relationship with clients and building add-on business for the practice and the firm
• Project Management - Lead a team of global IT professional & subject matter experts in establishing complete business & functional requirements, translating those requirements into actionable project initiatives w/associated metrics. Provide overall project management necessary to deliver a quality solution that meets the client’s business requirements.
• Consulting Delivery - Responsible for delivering world-class practices and processes to our clients. Interface with middle and senior-level client personnel to develop business implementation strategies, formulate projects plans, and address specific issues that may arise during an engagement. Designing outstanding business and technical solutions to support Best Practice implementations
• Thought Leadership - Provide insight to new and emerging best practices within a “Flat World” business environment and their potential business benefits.
• Practice Leadership - Expected to contribute to the growth and vitality of the practice in various roles such as collateral development, recruiting, and methodology development.
Publishing Industry Expertise
• Understand the impact of internet technologies and proliferation of portable connected media (iPod, Blackberry, etc.) and social networking on the publishing business model
• Have in-depth experience with the business drivers and management of the publication process
• Understand traditional and electronic workflow in the Publishing Industry
• Knowledge of core circulation operations, subscriptions, planning and distribution
• Demonstrated ability to optimize workflow and create productivity gains through new and existing technologies
• Understand the impact of unified customer information throughout the entire value chain, from order to delivery and from printer to customer
• Demonstrated ability in defining solutions that unify subscriptions, planning and distribution around a single view of the customer
• Understand Digital Rights and Digital Asset Management and products/solution offerings in the marketplace
Qualities, Experience, and Skills
• Previous consulting experience is required, preferably Big 4
• Minimum 4+ years of industry experience with Publishers, preferably in the Consumer and/or B2B Publishing space with an overall 12+ years of experience in Consulting
• Ability to help clients solve problems that deal with business strategies, information requirements, process, organization and technology
• Well versed in working with clients, reviewing their business requirements, and suggesting process improvements
• Experience should include full lifecycle implementation experience throughout all phases of the package implementation lifecycle, and should include functional expertise in above areas
• Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary
• Bachelor’s degree is required, prefer MBA
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Willingness to travel 4 days a week
