Executive Job Description	One of the premier compensation and employee benefits consulting firms in the country has just created a new position for a health benefits plans actuary in their New York office. This is a growing and profitable practice in a firm that has been expanding over the past two years while others are cutting back. This is an opportunity to work with a wide variety of health plan issues and with a wide range of clients including public sector and multiemployer groups. It is also an opportunity to work with some of the top benefits consultants in the country for one of the smaller and very efficient consulting firms. They offer unlimited professional and financial growth in this practice. You will become involved in analyzing and developing health costs and trends, pricing plan design changes, funding and contributions strategies, reserve calculations, plan renewals and actuarial valuations of private, public sector and multiemployer sponsored health and welfare plans. This role offers significant visibility within the firm and plenty of interaction with clients. We are looking for an actuary who has earned their ASA designation or is very close to earning it and has health experience with a benefits consulting firm or insurance company. We prefer someone who has expertise in claims and liability along with good project management skills. This is a client facing position, not a backroom support role.
