Executive Job Description | Global Head of Consulting Services Our client is a world-leading information technology consulting, services, and business process outsourcing organization offering a full end to end consulting services portfolio. They focus on six key areas: Global Consulting, Engineering & Industrial Services, BPO, Asset Based Offerings, IT Solutions & Services, and IT Infrastructure Services. This position will be the leader of the Global Consulting Services division. The Global Consulting division consists of business and process consulting, IT strategy consulting, IT operations consulting and technology services consulting among others. The firm services the following industry verticals: Financial Services, Banking, Government, Insurance, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Retail & Consumer Goods, Energy & Utilities, and Transportation. The Global Consulting Services Leader must possess a minimum of 15 years total consulting experience and 10 years executive level management experience within the consulting industry. There is a strong preference for someone with who has led Financial Services Consulting or has strong experience in the Banking and Financial Services sector along with global practice leadership. This would be as a practice leader, service line leader or executive management of a Global or US line of business. The right candidate will have a superior track record of building and growing a consulting services line of business in excess of $100Million. This positions reports to the Global Head of Consulting and US President.
Profile: The Global Consulting Services Leader will oversee the management and delivery of large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business solutions and technology solutions for large global clients. You are expected to be the primary leader of the firm's growth and development by managing the following:
- Engagement Management: managing engagement risk, project economics including planning and budgeting, managing accounts receivable, defines deliverable content, ensures buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client
- Business Development: develops and maintains contact with top decision makers at key clients, organizes global practice leaders to develop pursuit teams and deliver client deals; this role will encompass participating and leading aspects of the business development process for targeted Global accounts.
- Practice Development & Thought Leadership: development of solutions and methodologies, development of thought leadership in consulting services expertise areas, public speaking and publication in industry periodicals.
- People Development: performs role of management leader, provides input and guidance into the firms staffing process, and actively participates in staff recruitment and retention activities of other Global Consulting Services practice management and leadership.
• Significant experience managing/selling complex programs, operations and product launches. • Experience managing multiple service and product lines (including offshore development programs). • Experience analyzing, designing and implementing large scale business/technology solutions which includes strategy, IT technology solutions and business process improvements. • Strong communication experience should include presentation / proposal generation, as well as an ability to interact effectively with people at all levels within a team or client organization. • Superior work ethic. • Ability to accommodate travel up to 100%. • BS degree Required. Advanced degree strongly preferred for this level of position.
