The Insurance consulting practice is focused on helping insurance clients in the Life& Annuity Sector, Property& Casualty insurance sector and create business value to advisory work and business transformation engagements that leverage our deep domain experience. The central offerings of insurance consulting address opportunities for product innovation, customer experience and operational effectiveness in the sectors
Responsibilities Principal • Business Development - Responsible for establishing a strong working relationship with clients and building add-on business for the practice and the firm • Project Management - Lead a team of global IT professional & subject matter experts in establishing complete business & functional requirements, translating those requirements into actionable project initiatives w/associated metrics. Provide overall project management necessary to deliver a quality solution that meets the client’s business requirements. • Consulting Delivery - Responsible for delivering world-class practices and processes to our clients. Interface with middle and senior-level client personnel to develop business implementation strategies, formulate projects plans, and address specific issues that may arise during an engagement. Designing outstanding business and technical solutions to support Best Practice implementations • Thought Leadership - Provide insight to new and emerging best practices within a “Flat World” business environment and their potential business benefits. • Practice Leadership - Expected to contribute to the growth and vitality of the practice in various roles such as collateral development, recruiting, and methodology development.
Qualities, Experience and Skills • Previous consulting experience is required, preferably global consulting firms • Ability to help clients solve problems that deal with business strategies, information requirements, process, organization and technology • Well versed in working with clients, reviewing their business strategies, requirements, suggesting capability improvements and defining strategic roadmaps • Experienced in the following areas: Life Insurance, New Business, Business Process Re-engineering, Product management, Program Management • Minimum 5 years of Insurance industry experience- Life and Annuity/ Property & Casualty segment experience (industry/consulting) with proven strategic planning and implementation experience across functional areas such as Sales & Marketing, Distribution Management/ Producer Management, New Business, Underwriting, Policy Service Operations and claims for P&C / Life and Annuity Carriers • Functional experience in Sales & Marketing- Insurance Sales & Marketing through traditional & non traditional channels; New Business/ Underwriting- Quote to Issue , underwriting operations, case management etc; Policy Service Operations- Policy holder services, endorsements, lapse/ termination/ Revival/ Reinstatement; Customer Service Operations including Call centers , web self service ; Claims – Claims notification to settlement; Distribution (Producer) Mgmt, Producer Management, Compensation Models, Online Properties etc, Distribution Channel related compliance requirements etc; Compliance & Regulatory- understanding of Compliance & regulatory requirements, Statewide regulations • Technology knowledge (Appreciation/ Exposure): — Policy Admin Systems, Claims Admin Systems, Agency Management Systems, Agency Performance Mgmt, Callidus Compensation Mgmt or similar industry standard distribution/ producer management technologies • Excellent business understanding of ongoing trends for carriers across the functional area to sustain and grow profitable revenue, enhance customer experience through superior operations • Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary • Bachelor’s degree is required, prefer MBA. Relevant industry qualifications such as AICPCU is a plus • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Willingness to travel 4 days a week
The position will be associated with any of our offices in the Midwest / East Coast regions ( such as Lisle, IL , New York City or Bridgewater, NJ, Atlanta, GA, Quincy, Massachusetts) (we are not currently offering relocation)
