The Infosys Consulting Manufacturing practice is committed to helping our clients generate shareholder value through enterprise innovation. Our Manufacturing Practice has a broad scope, covering High Tech, Discrete Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace and Resources. We have differentiated offerings, Points of View (POV’s), delivery approaches and solutions. We will incubate new market offerings in the areas of Software as a Service, Pricing Optimization, Independent Software Vendor (ISV) business architecture and others.
Responsibilities: Principal: • Leads engagements – collaborates with Practice Leaders and Senior Engagement Leaders to develop and implement strategies / plans for strategic transformation of client operations • Develops diagnostics, strategies, road maps, and business case for small to mid scale business transformations • Implements and delivers new capabilities within client organizations • Performs external competitive benchmarking and analysis • Works with client company’s financials to develop business cases, perform ROI calculations, and develop capital budgets • Performs Business Process Improvement using various business consulting tools and methodologies • Works with cross-functional client teams to perform gap analysis and identify improvement options • Creates detailed action plans that include organizational change management, resource planning, competitive strategies, and alliances to embark on a new strategic direction and to enable successful deployment of solutions • Contributes to the growth and vitality of the practice in various roles, such as collateral development, recruiting, and methodology development • Develops innovative thought ware and new service offerings • Captures best practices and add to firm’s knowledge management initiatives • Supervises more junior staff
Qualities, Experience, and Skills: • 8 – 15 years experience • Previous consulting experience is required, preferably Big 4 and/or traditional strategy firm • Ability to succeed in an ambiguous / changing environment, ability to adapt • Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team, flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary • Experience with ANY of the following: demand planning, forecasting, warehouse managed inventory, shop floor management, returns management, procurement, order to cash, software licensing, content management, Saas strategy, OR quote to cash • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - executive presence • Well versed in working with clients – solving client issues and developing business strategies around people, process, and technology • Industry experience: high tech / telecom equipment / ISV / OEM • Experience with engagements that focus on strategy, operations strategy or process optimization • Technology/package experience (SAP, Dynamics, Oracle) • Six Sigma certification, PMP certification, or CDI/EIM experience • Bachelor’s degree is required, prefer MBA • Willingness to travel 4 days a week • Must possess work authorization that does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.
