Job Description |
IT company with focus on traffic engineering projects has opening for an Area Manager with ITS experience(electronic toll and pricing, freeway management, parking management, traffic enforcement, traffic signal, transit fare payment, traveler information, and SCADA tunnel control system applications). The position is based in North Carolina and the territory the Area Manager will be responsible for is North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to: • Win project assignments through long range marketing, preparation of technical price proposals & oral presentations • Direct project work and manage technical staff to meet technical, schedule and budget requirements • Act as a leader, motivate staff and help position the company for increased growth and profitability • Manage major ITS projects within the three States.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Electrical Engineering • Ten or more years of progressive experience in ITS and Project Management • North Carolina Professional Engineering license or the ability to obtain one within (6) months • Preference to those with their Professional Engineering license in other States • Strong understanding of ITS planning, design, integration, operation and maintenance • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including industry relationships • Excellent oral, written and marketing skills are a must with the ability to write proposals and communicate effectively with clients.
