Job Description |
The Position : General Manager – China Based (Near HK)
The Company :
Our client is a leading European based high street retailer holding a significant and growing market share in apparel footwear and accessories.
Reporting to : Regional Director, China
Location : Southern China
Responsibilites :
• Manage relationships with regional offices and the European headquarters
• Drive sales and run sample room, merchandising and manufacturing operations
• Work closely with a senior management team which consists of Finance and Operations Manager
• Manage the supply base
• Develop a sourcing plan for China Vietnam and other Asia Pacific countries to meet future growth in business
The Requirements :
Your qualifications / experience will include:
• Good General Management capabilities
• Merchandising / Design / Sales / Product development
• Knowledge of and track record in China
• Fluent English, Mandarin useful
• Hands on, operational , cost focused and numerate
• A feel for the retail industry, trends, range and new product opportunities
